With pleasure, I invite you to come and see Lake Siutghiol which is separated from the sea by a coastal cordon, from where Mamaia beach was born. The freshwater lake near Mamaia resort was originally known as Ovidiu Lake. In 1802, "Monitorul" and some magazines in Paris, recording news from Dobrogea, in connection with archaeological excavations near the mouth of the Danube, where a tomb from the Roman era was found, wrote that these lands are known since time as Laculi Ovidii.
